My name is Doug COPPA. I am the head manager for the Salvation and disasters Team of American International Save (Arti), the most experienced rescue team.
The information in this article will save lives in case of earthquake.
I was dragged inside the 875 buildings collapsed, we have worked with rescue teams from 60 countries,
I founded rescue teams in several countries and are a member of many rescue teams from different countries. I was the United Nations expert in Disaster Decrease (UNX051-UNIENET) for two years. I worked every disaster majordin world of 1985, except for simultaneous disasters.
In 1996 we made a film which proved my survival methodology to be correct. Turkish Federal Government, city of Istanbul, University of Istanbul, Case Productions and Artie, have cooperated to film this scientific test.
I crashed a school and a house with 20 models inside. Ten models were "bent and covered" and 10 models
I used the method of survival "triangle of life".
After the simulated earthquake took place, I walked among the wreckage and I walked into the building to film and document results.
The film, in which I practiced my survival techniques under directly observable conditions and research relevant to buildings fall, showed that it was 0% for survivors methods with bent and hidden. "
It was probably 100% chance of survival for people who would be using my "triangle of life".
This film was seen by millions on television in Turkey and Europe and was seen in USA,
Canada and Latin America, the TV program "RealTV.
The first building I entered, was a school in Mexico City during the earthquake of 1985.
All the children were under their banks. Every child was crushed to the thickness of their bones. Could survive if it would be lying down near their banks, the banks of the corridors. It was obscene, unnecessary and I wondered why children were not on the corridors of the banks.
I knew then that the children were told to hide under something.
Established earlier, when the buildings were collapsed, the weight of ceiling that fell on articles of furniture they broke them up, leaving a space or void next to them. This space is what I called "triangle of life". As the object is bigger, much more powerful and will be less compact.
As the object is less compact, will be even greater void (emptiness) and much higher probability that the person who uses this empty safety will not be heard. Next time look at the buildings collapsed, count "triangles" you see formed. Are everywhere.

Trujillo (population 750,000) how to survive, to take care of their families and to save others in case of earthquake.

COPPA Doug advises:
1) Anyone who simply "is bend and cover" when buildings fall, it is crushed and killed.
Every time, without exception. People who are put under objects, like offices or machines are always broken.
2) Dogs, cats and small children are sometimes in natural fetal position. And you should do the same in case of earthquake. It is a natural instinct of survival. You live in a small empty. Go near an object, next to a couch, next to a large bulky object that will compress to some extent, but will leave a void next to him.
3) Wooden buildings are the safest buildings during an earthquake. The reason is simple: the wood is flexible and move with earthquake force. If the wooden building is crumbling, are major goals of survival.
Also, wooden buildings have less weight to be concentrated crash. The buildings of bricks will break in the individual bricks.
Bricks will cause many wounds, but less than bodies crushed concrete.
4) If you are in bed at night and appears an earthquake simply Roll up out of bed. Of empty space certainly there will be around the bed.
